The Marriage Supper of the Lamb was written as a wedding gift for my long-time friends, James and Leslie Altena, whose wedding was on August 13, 2005, This was also, of course, the date that the piece was premiered at their church. In this work, I employed the musical letters of their two names, including Leslie's maiden name (Harsch). The text was drawn from the 19th chapter of the Book of Revelation, selected by James for use in this work.
